GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Shirebrook for a Management Accountant to join their ever growing and successful team on a full time, permanent contract.

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial responsibilitiesof all UK Premium Entities and will potentially be involved with future acquisitions and integrations.


To be considered for this position you MUST be qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA and be driven by results, taking risks and career focussed.


Management Accountant main duties:

  • Production and Review of Monthly Management Accounts
  • Production of Budgets and Forecasts
  • Review and Investigate variances between the actual results and budgeted/forecasted results
  • Reconciliation of all relevant entities balance sheet
  • Ownership/presentation of monthly finance reports to direct line manager, and senior finance as required.
  • Build relationships with relevant commercial departments and act as a business partner for financial/numerical queries.
  • Support group & statutory audits for relevant entities
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts for Premium Entities
  • Assisting in the Tax Computations for Premium Entities
  • Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns.
  • Project Work
  • Assisting with the integration of new subsidiaries
  • Adhoc support to wider UK finance team as required.

Management Accountant desired skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar Management Accountant
  • Part qualified ACCA/CIMA (study support provided).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a finance team.
  • Excellent IT system skills, in particular MS Excel
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Confident in supporting an extended finance team


You will be supporting with projects within a company that boast a £4bl turnover - so you will be expected to move quickly between demands, get involved in acquisitions, make commercial recommendations and present to some senior stakeholders.
