Job objectives and responsibilities
Electrical Qualified Supervisor for EV Installations
You will be responsible for the QS, supervisory, support as an EV Installer and review service partners work which are all underpinned in the QS role.
Customer engagement and service are as important in this role as the technical skills to complete the installations.
A keen attention and focus on Health and Safety is also paramount for our installers.
As the market develops, you will transition away from installation to focus more on QS, management of personnel and signing off installations of the workforce.
Experienced ev electrician able to undertake all aspects of electrical installations on electric vehicle chargers installations, minor works and test and inspection where applicable.
Main duties
- Experienced ev electrician able to undertake all aspects of electrical installations on electric vehicle charger's installations, minor works and test and inspection where applicable.
- To carry out Project works on ev & electrical projects for the retail, industrial, commercial and government sectors.
- QS, management of personnel and signing off installations of the workforce.
- Working closely with the Project team, subcontractors, and Project Manager to meet completion targets set for a particular project.
- Work to electrical drawings e.g., installation, circuit diagrams and line schematics.
- Produce a quality product first time with no rework required.
- Complete the necessary paperwork/electronic job forms and certification to ensure our customer receives data in a timely manner
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Person Specification
- NVQ Level 3 in electrotechnical installations such as C&G 2365 Level 3 or 2330 or equivalent
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS:7671:201
- Fully qualified 18th Edition IEE regulations
Test and Inspection desirable, not essential - full training will be given
- Level 3 Award in Domestic Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation C&G 291
- Preferred EV Installation Experience
- Testing and inspection experience or relating qualification
- Commercial Electrical Installation experience
- Knowledge of safe working practices in electrical environments
- Full UK driving licence
- To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
- Ability to manage and take ownership of conflicting priorities under pressure
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Good attention to detail
- Respond to change in a positive and enthusiastic manner
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good planning and organisational skill
- Excellent communication skills
- SSSTS Accreditation desirable, not essential full training will be given
- Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours and work nights where required, and may be required stay away from home for short periods throughout the working week.
- Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weight of up to 25kg
- Ability to effectively prioritise own workload
- Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Strong customer care focus
- Adapt to technical changes within the industry and attend training courses should they be required.
- To understand and complete all workrelated documentation accurately and on time
- To understand and comply with policies and procedures
- To be responsible for company vehicle and all materials on board
- Undertake additional duties as instructed by the Project Manager
