Job Purpose
The Audit Quality Support Team (AQST) provides support to our client-facing teams within the Audit and Assurance service line.
From being on-hand to help with complex enquiries, writing audit methodology and guidance, performing internal Quality Monitoringreviews to enabling our staff through the development of templates and training, the AQST supports our auditors to deliver the highest quality audit and assurance work.
As part of this supportive and knowledgeable team, you will contribute daily to the firm'scommitment to deliver high quality.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager or Senior Manager to join our Audit Learning Team which sits within the AQST.
The individual will report to the Audit Training Lead, seeking input from others within the AQST (especially the methodology team) to ensure that both technical and operational best practice is considered in the design and delivery of the training.
Job Role
- Assist with or lead on the update, delivery, management, and postcourse review for technical training courses;
- Develop learning materials e.g. face to face and online learning writing the materials (including precourse materials and postcourse assessments);
- Identify and implement processes to ensure that learning is applied by staff on audit engagements;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions; and
- Continual update of the training programme to consider the latest technical updates and regulatory findings that the firm needs to respond to.
Person Specification & Academic Requirements
We're looking for someone with:
- Detailed knowledge of auditing under ISAs (UK) and using audit software (Chartered Accountant, ICAEW member or equivalent);
- Experience of training design, development and delivery;
- A passion for technical expertise and high audit quality;
- The confidence to deliver courses to colleagues more senior than yourself and to respond professionally to challenges and queries raised;
- A passion to help others understand highly complex, technical topics with the ability to break them down into more readily understood parts;
- The willingness to travel to Mazars offices around the UK to deliver training courses;
- The ability to think innovatively and creatively, bringing new ideas to the Mazars training strategy;
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team and able to use own initiative;
- The ability and willingness to challenge existing practices and influence more senior individuals and peers;
- High attention to detail;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Strong problemsolving skills;
- Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work;
Excel and PowerPoint proficient; and
Ideally would have experience of training design, development and delivery across multiple media
