Description
SNAAP is a charity which works with disabled children and their families. Although we mainly operate in the Canterbury District, we run a Holiday Playscheme in Folkestone.


Hours - Every Mon & Tues for 5 weeks (start 24th July) each day

Optional additional hours:
Other schemes are available in Herne Bay and Sittingbourne on other days of the week throughout the summer. Travel expenses will be paid to attend these. There is also the possibility of ongoing work after the summer with a Saturday Club (1 Saturday a month at Folkestone plus 1 Saturday a month in Dover)

The role:
To look after disabled children aged 8-19.

Children's needs vary but will include physical disabilities and severe challenging behaviour.

You will be responsible for them on a 1:1 basis and carry out personal care, help with feeding and ensure they have a fun day of appropriate play during the club.


You must have a good understanding of safeguarding and willing to attend training at our office in Herne Bay, be warm and welcoming to parents and carers and be able to implement, monitor and help evaluate children's targets/goals.


Previous experience of working with disabled children will be an advantage but you
must have worked with children and you be confident, proactive and have a fun loving personality.

Training and Induction is held at our offices in Herne Bay.

£10.71-£12.00 per hour
