Description

Our client - a highly successful multinational manufacturer based in Kettering - is seeking a qualified accountant to provide high level finance support & challenge to manufacturing costs, performance, and delivery of wider company goals / performance ona full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your key responsibilities would include:


  • Providing highquality reporting and insightful analysis to ensure decision makers are equipped to make optimal decisions,
  • Delivery of accurate budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks & opportunities and mitigating financial risk and exploit opportunities,
  • Overseeing the preparation of management accounts and financial planning for plant labour and manufacturing costs,
  • Advising in the operations side of the Integrated Business Planning process ensuring decisions are made based on accurate information (IBP process governs how we manage differences between supply and demand of our products);
  • Cost modelling of plant capacity expansion and consolidation to align with changing sales patterns and changing plant performance,
  • Ensuring Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) insight and trends feed into IBP and financial planning,
  • Proactively challenging stakeholders to ensure financial delivery in line with targets,
  • Driving continuous improvement in relation to accuracy and efficiency of processes,
  • Maintaining levels of compliance across the team, e.g., SOX, internal policies etc.

The Right Person

  • Degreeeducation, qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent,
  • This role would ideally suit someone with commercial or manufacturing experience within branded manufacturing / FMCG environment,
  • Strong analytical, data management, problemsolving and MS Excel skills,
  • Leadership and people management experience,
  • Be ambitious, resilient and results driven with a continuous improvement mindset,
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels with a strong eye for detail.

  • Appointment Type: Permanent
