FINANCE OFFICER / CAMBORNE - PERMANENT VACANCY

Location:
Camborne, Cornwall


Assignment:
Permanent Contract


Hours:
Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:30pm (16:00pm finish on a Friday)


Salary:
£26,603 per annum


Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer based in Camborne on a full time permanent contract.

You will be the first point of contact for students, parents and staff within the Finance Office (10:00am - 176:30pm and to provide cover for Reception (08:00am - 10:00am)


Duties as a Finance Officer:


  • Carry out work effectively and appropriately as directed by the Line Manager
  • Ensure timely completion of all tasks and adherence to deadlines
  • Operation and management of the Purchase Ledger and Accounts Recieveable function
  • Responsibility for receiving, checking, banking, reconciliation and issuing of recipes for all monies received in all forms
  • Assisting with the reconciliation of Credit Card statements
  • Prepare and upload BACs payment runs and issue remittance advices
  • The management of petty cash floats
  • Preparing documents for and supporting annual audit
  • Overseeing the issuing and recharging of stationary and miscellaneous supplies to all department, ensuring appropriate replenishment of stocks as necessary
  • To be aware and adhere to School policies, maintain confidentiality at all times

About you:


  • Excellent personal and communication skills and a highly professional manner
  • Minimum of 2 years finance related work experience
  • Relevant Accountancy or Bookkeeping qualification
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • AAT qualification would be desirable
  • Previous work experience within a school would be desirable
