Grafton Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a talented, patient focused Physiotherapist, who is dedicated to offering outstanding professional patient care, for our client based in Kettering.
As a Physiotherapist, you will deliver gold standard, one to one, holistic care in the comfort of the patient's home.
As this is a regional role travelling to visit patients in their home setting, it is crucial that you have full UK driving licence.
Duties of the Physiotherapist:
- Undertake the comprehensive holistic assessment of patients using clinical, investigative and analytical skills.
- Formulate and carry out an individualised physiotherapy management treatment plan, using documented clinical reasoning skills and utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options, ensuring the patient is involved in the programme.
- Carry out exercise treatment plan with patients and assess progress in movement and independence.
- Educate and advise patients and relatives/carers in the correct use of functional and mobility equipment to maximise independence and avoid accidents or injury.
- Attend meetings and case conferences whilst representing physiotherapy services and individual patients. This will include discussion of patient care and patient progress and providing specialist opinions when needed.
- Liaise with patients, patient's families/carers and a wide variety of other professionals, such as doctors, occupational therapists, social workers, voluntary workers and equipment suppliers.
- Adhere to (CQC/ GDP/NMC/GPHC / ICO) standards relevant to role.
- Chair/attend all relevant committees aligned to remit of the role.
- Be aware of all responsibilities relating to Infection Prevention and Control.
Role Criteria:
- Qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy.
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Previous experience of working in an acute care setting, having completed rotations in respiratory, orthopaedics, surgery and care of the elderly.
- Ability to work autonomously, whilst being an effective team player.
- Demonstrate and maintain standards of professional competency in line with code of conduct.
- Previous experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Track record of delivering 'rapid response' services.
- Full UK driving license.
