ROLE:
REVENUE ASSURANCE APPRENTICE

Role in Brief

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Revenue Assurance Trainee with the ability to develop a process driven approach with attention to detail to join and add value to a growing, ambitious and friendly organisation.

The responsibilities fall into the following areas;

CUSTOMER BILLING - assist with timely production of customer invoicing, maintaining customer tariffs and service charges

MANAGEMENT REPORTING - assist with preparation of third party reporting and customer/product churn analysis
-
REVENUE ASSURANCE - assist the Revenue Assurance Manager to ensure integrity of customer invoicing and supplier charges
-
OTHER PROJECTS - assist the Revenue Assurance Manager with the identification of margin improvement initiatives and ability to take on additional ad-hoc projects as part of the future development of the group finance function

Key Responsibilities

_CUSTOMER BILLING_
Incorporating;

  • Customer Billing assisting with all tasks associated with customer billing (e.g. charge files and CDR loads, Fraud Protection Charge calculation). Assisting with prebill checks to ensure accuracy of customer charges.


  • Post billing reports

  • Assist the Revenue Assurance Manager analyse all charges from the monthly bill run and provide commentary. Also advise Financial Controller of any anomalies.
- aBILLity - assisting the Revenue Assurance Manager maintaining tariffs and service charges


_MANAGEMENT REPORTING_
Incorporating;

  • Framework Reporting calculation of framework commissions and levies based on sales orders and invoices raised. Monthly reporting to JISC, CCS & HSCN and quarterly reporting to CPC
  • Churn Analysis assisting the Revenue Assurance Manager with analysis of revenue variances by revenue stream, to include highlighting of any significant large movements from the prior month

_REVENUE ASSURANCE_
Incorporating;

  • Customer charges verification
  • Assisting the Revenue Assurance Manager to ensure that any billing exceptions are addressed and any incorrect charges raised to customers are passed to the operations team to resolve.


  • Supplier invoice verification

  • Supporting the Revenue Assurance Manager in checking and approving of supplier invoices, querying any anomalies, ensuring charges are on aBILLity and ad hoc charges are passed on.

_OTHER PROJECTS_

  • Assisting with dealing with external auditors at year end as part of the sales and purchase transaction verification.
  • Ad Hoc projects (e.g. ADSL Regrade Project) assisting the Revenue Assurance Manager following identification of actions that may recognise additional margin for AdEPT, such as alternative product selections, and other projects which are required as part of the future roadmap for the ongoing development of the group finance team.
  • Assisting with any other relevant tasks as required by the Senior Management Team

4. Skills / Interests Required

  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills with good maths & English qualification at GCSE or A level.
  • Strong team player.
  • Process driven and organised / attention to detail.
  • Proactive, cando attitude.

6. Experience Required

Essential & demonstrable

  • No formal experience required. Training will be provided in role and company will support professional business analysis qualification.
