Are you a Machine Learning Engineer with an appetite for risk? Do you consider yourself the creative type or a bit of an entrepreneur at heart? If so, then this might be the role for you.

I'm working with an early-stage start-up who are on a mission to democratise drug discovery so that treatments and cures for a whole host of illnesses can get into the hands of clinicians and patients quicker.

When I say early stage, I'm talking about you joining as their first official MLE so you're going to have to be comfortable with the idea of wearing many hats and getting involved with stuff that might normally sit outside of your remit.

Whilst you would bethe first MLE, they do already have a solid team of biotech experts at the helm, so your job will be to come on board as a key tech hire to help scale a platform used by researchers globally.

It's not too often you can join a company that will allow you to set the pace and standards when it comes to engineering, so if you've been itching to do so, now's your time You'll be integral in designing and growing a successful ML product and in time, anend-to-end ML function
They are already generating revenue and are backed by an esteemed angel network.

Whilst no guarantees can be made, with even Big Tech no longer a reliable source of job security, they are taking a steady approach to growth and their initial establishing techhires will play a big part in their next chapter.

With 2 or 3 days a week in their Central London office, you can expect equity and a salary between £60,000-65,000.

You'll do great here if you can bring:

  • Commercial experience in researching and deploying machine learning models.
  • Exposure to deep neural networks.
  • Experience working with GNN, LSTM's and CNN's.
  • A strong Python background and at least one of the most common ML frameworks.
  • Experience in BioTech is a HUGE plus, even an MSc or PhD in a Bio related field would be a massive help.
