From 27th March 2023 we would like to welcome an experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join our team. This opportunity will work for someone with a level head and a mature approach. This role will be shared with 2 others.

You will be combining different skills:

  • Social meeting and welcoming people facetoface and Organisational performing clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the professional and efficient running of a friendly and busy Clinic.
**Responsibilities:
- **Open and prepare the Clinic for the day ahead.

Greet patients and make them feel welcome.

Manage a Computer-based diary, data base and accounts.

Make and alter appointment bookings on the computer.

Take payments (card, BACS and over the phone) and record them.

Operate an accurate filing system - patient files and archiving system.

Prepare patient files and lists for Clinicians.

Be happy to multi-task.

Keep the Clinic clean and tidy as the day goes by.

Maintain Clinic stock and replenish as required.

Use a small ladder to access stock in the attic.

Be prepared to use washing machine and dryer for patient gowns, towels, treatment bench covers etc.

Make drinks for patients and Clinicians and wash-up cups and glasses.


We are a family Clinic and see patients of all ages - you may need to help parents and carers with small infants and assist the elderly to negotiate their way in to and out of the Clinic - we have a small step at the front of the Clinic.


Perform clean and tidy up duties at the end of Clinics which includes using the vacuum cleaner and emptying bins.


Offer flexibility regarding the hours you work - sharing a job with others involves covering for your fellow Receptionists when they are on holiday or absent.

**Desired Work Experience and Skills:
- **Multi-tasking is required every day - this job will not suit those who get flustered easily - someone with a calm approach will thrive.

You won't be sitting at a desk all day. There is a certain amount of moving around and going up and down stairs.

Good knowledge and confidence using I.T. and a smart phone is essential. We are happy to train people to use our specific Clinic software.

Numerical accuracy is required.

Part of the Reception role is to take payments, maintain a record of payments received, add up payments received and then reconcile payments taken at the end of the day with the card machine and computer.


We still use paper-based files - so familiarity with a filing system and willingness to search archives for files will be required.


We keep Clinic stock in the attic and so our staff are required to go up and down a short loft ladder.

A comfort in looking after infants and the elderly will be essential as we welcome patients of all ages.


Flexibility with regard to covering different hours from time-to-time as others take holidays, need to take time off for appointments or are unwell.

**Salary:
- **£13 - £14.75 per hour

**Hours:
- **Standard weekly hours will vary between: 19 and 24.5 hours.

Shifts:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 2.45pm - 7.30pm


Wednesday:
8.30am - 1.30pm and every 4th Saturday (one Saturday per month): 8.30am - 1.30pm.

**Location:
- **North View, Westbury Park, Bristol, BS6 7QB.

There is currently free parking with no time limit on local side streets


Note:
North View and Waitrose car park both have restricted parking time.

We are on the Number 2 Bus route.
