The Role & Key Responsibilities

A part time vacancy is now available for someone to join our Forensic Digital Media Unit (FDMU) as an Administration Assistant.

The Forensic Digital Media Unit examine and process a wide range of video, audio and photographic formats to support on-going investigations and assist in the detection of crime.


As the FDMU Administration Assistant, you will be required to provide support by approving submissions into the unit in accordance with our standard operating procedures and current service level agreement with those who we support.


You will be accountable for exhibit handling and the updating of the case management system, ensuring the highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail is maintained at all times.

You will handle internal and external telephone calls and will arrange appointments for investigators looking to visit the Unit. Full accountabilities feature on the attached 'FDMU Administration Assistant JDQ'.

Skills & Experience


To be successful in this post you must have excellent computer keyboard skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and the ability to acquire the skills to maintain the case management system.


The successful post holder will have good interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to deal courteously and efficiently with enquiries; both internally and externally.
