These posts are key to ensuring that households are moved from temporary accommodation so that reductions of households in temporary accommodation can be achieved.

This is a highly varied role, where you will be managing your own caseload to:
Visit people in temporary accommodation, supporting with day to day issues to ensure they can maintain the accommodation and at the same time helping them to actively look for alternative accommodation and checking on occupancy and property condition

Having honest and open conversations with customers about their housing options

Helping people find alternative accommodation in the private rented sector

Carrying out multi-agency work and negotiation with landlords You will spend some of your time in our offices in Kingston, but the majority of your time will be spent visiting people in our Temporary Accommodation across London & Surrey so you must have the ability to travel About You:

We are looking for someone who enjoys assisting others and finding solutions for people and has an understanding of housing and homelessness.

You will need strong communication skills, ideally with case management skills.

You will need to have previously worked with people needing support - this experience may have been gained in a local authority, housing association or charity In order to successfully deliver the responsibilities of the role, you will need to:
Be able to travel around London & Surrey to visit people in their own homes ? Experience of dealing with a diverse and vulnerable clientele


Experience of working within the private rented sector with a good understanding of both the needs of tenants and landlords.

Knowledge of welfare benefits, Housing Benefit and other related payments


Experience of using different IT systems in order to manage caseloads, monitor delivery of targets and drive improved service ? Excellent interpersonal skills including active listening, negotiating and mediation.

Great customer service skills

A creative approach to problem solving.

From £15.77 per hour
