Head of Supplier Relationship Management Ref code: KYP Executive, Supply Chain & Logistics, Technology £70k - 75k per year + bonus Birmingham, West Midlands, England Permanent Fully Remote Role Introduction The Head of SRM and Continuous Improvement is responsible for leading and managing the SRM function and driving continuous improvement initiatives within.

The role involves developing and implementing strategies to optimaise supplier relationships, enhance supplier performance, and drive operational excellence through continuous improvement methodologies What You Will Do - Supplier relationship Management (SRM): Develop and execute a comprehensive SRM strategy that aligns with goals and objectives.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and mutual value creation. Implant SRM frameworks and processes to monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement. - SIAM & Tooling: Work with existing ITSM tooling to implement a SIAM strategy, fully governed, owned and reported against


  • Supplier Risk Management:
Assess and manage supplier risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.

Collabrorate with cross-functional teams, such as precurement, legal, and compliance, to ensure supplier risk management practices are integrated into the supplier management process.

- Supplier Performance Management: Define and implement supplier performance metrics, scorecards, and evaluation processes. Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon metrics and targets. Indentify areas of improvement and work collaboratively with suppliers to drive performance enhancements. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement. - Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within. Identify opportunities for process optimisation, cost reduction, and effeciency gains.

Implement continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen, to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and enhance overall perfromance.

Lead improvement projects and initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to acheive measurable results.

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, procurement, operations, and quality teams, to understand their requirements and expectations.

Engage stakeholders in SRM and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring their support and involvement. Communicate progress, achievements, and benefits of SRM and continuous improvement efforts to stakeholders. - Team Leadership: Manage a team of SRM and continuous improvement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Set performance goals and objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development needs.

- Industry Trends and Best practices: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in SRM and continuous improvement.

Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions and approaches to enhance supplier relationships and drive operational excellence.

Benchmark against industry peers to identify areas for inprovement and implement best practices What You Will Have - Proven experience in leading SRM and continuous improvement initiatives, preferably in a large organisation.

- Strong knowledge of SRM principles, methodologires, andbest practice.

- Experience with continuous improvement methodologie, such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen - Proficiency in supplier perfromance management, risk management, andcontract management.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills - Strong analytical and problem solving abilities - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
