Responsibilities

Create and maintain the engineering processes aligned with Citi's policies and guidelines to enable Public Cloud Development
Design and maintain service engineering best practices and standards
Develop, cascade and enforce engineering best practices using modern SDLC that enables CI/CD and favors automation, auditability, automated testing, and infrastructure and policy as code
Work with the Security team to embed security best practices into eh engineering process and architecture
Determine a skillbased approach to hire and develop the talent required to build a successful team
Engage with crossfunctional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features
Work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently
Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential roadblocks
Manage communication across crossfunctional teams to ensure the smooth progress and information flow
Communicate effectively to an organization of hundreds of engineers, and present progress to Sr. management, escalating as needed
Identify major technology trends and competitive forces relevant to domain aligned capabilities

- include hands-on technical experience in public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and/or GCP.

Qualifications

Handson technical experience in public cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS and/or GCP
Recent experience leading or building an engineering team within an Agile environment
Proven experience in cloud strategy to include scope, purpose, business case/value, financial analysis, integration with other key programs
Handson experience in building distributed / service oriented / microservicestyle and cloudbased architectures
Strong experience developing modern cloud architectures, working with container platforms, with a special focus on scalability, security and resilience
Experience with modern SDLC tools, branching strategies, and ability to develop and enforce CI/CD practices
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with new / existing talent
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to provide orientation and training to enable individuals to understand and potentially perform roles
Experience with modern tools such as Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
Expertise in multiple version control systems (Git, GitHub, Subversion) and Cloud Foundry development
Experience with configuration management systems
Ability to develop custom tool integrations
Ability to write consistent and published APIs
Experience with software delivery life cycle (development, configuration, testing, deployment), following Agile methodology
Strong knowledge of service management lifecycle from development to retirement
