Overview & Responsibilities of the Mechanical Estimator
2fawcett are recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator, specialising in Design & Build - HVAC, based in Nottingham. You will be responsible for preparing Estimates for Mechanical Building services projects.

Responsibilities & Requirements of the Mechanical Estimator

Work with engineers and architects and the client to establish and understand scope of works.
Prepare detailed cost estimates.
Prepare estimates for mechanical building services projects, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and multidisciplined systems.
Gather pricing from suppliers and keep base price data base up to date using estimating software.
Have a deep understanding of estimating software.
Manage the estimating process from start to finish.
Contribute to the development and implementation of estimating procedures and practices.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

Collegeor University education in HVAC mechanical engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience in mechanical building services estimating.
Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
