Description

Oakstone Contracting are seeking a capable Yardman/Storeman/Driver based at our Chelmsford depo.

The role involves being responsible and carrying out any necessary tasks, working with the delivery team and working to keep a high standard of housekeeping in the yard and stores.

Training on the systems will be provided as well as Active training for the yard will be available. Including taking in and making deliveries to active work sites.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Learn workshop operations.
Operating Fork Truck Training provided.
Ability to learn new aspects under training.
Check the status of maintenance and repair work on Plant.
Good Time Management.
Help establish Good Housekeeping priorities.
Aid with repairs and Checks When Required.
Reactive response to breakdowns and damage repairs as required.
Manage and organise stock within the Stores.
Ensure Stores is kept to a tidy presentable standard as well as yard.
Loading Works vehicles and delivering materials/plant to work sites.
Clearing sites following completion.

Required Skills:

Good knowledge of working practises
Good knowledge of Parts for plant repairs
Good Attitude and eager to help
Able to work well under pressure with good time management.
Computer literate would be a benefit (Excel, Word, Microsoft office)

The hours of the role are fully flexible and dependant on applicants circumstances.

This would suit someone on either a part time or full time basis, if they would like to get more involved in the business.
