Not definedWe're looking for a Head of EQS (Environment, Quality, Health & Safety and Sustainability, who will become responsible for leading a team of EQS professionals across the UK&I within the Project Entity delivering large complex construction projects which can include consortia arrangements with partners across international borders.
Projects include offshore working as part of delivering Grid Access projects connecting offshore windfarms and therefore experience in offshore working is important.

Critical to the role is the ability to show industry leadership while maintaining proximity to the workforce ensuring what is designed and supported provides the best opportunity for everyone to go home safe and well while protecting and where possible reducing our environmental impact while leaving a lasting quality assured solution.
Within the role you will be expected to keep abreast of leading practices within the construction-built environment and for developing and delivering strategies that keep Siemens Energy at the forefront of industry performance and thought leadership.
As the key expert within the EQS area you will be required to provide expert advice and council to fellow senior leadership team members including managing the business risk and opportunities within EQS.
A clear balance between leadership and management will be required along with a strong focus on enabling factors that will create the very best results.
Within any leading international organisation it will be required to liaise and work with multiple stakeholders and provide local direction taking into consideration Global objectives.
What You Bring
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- Lead Auditor ISO4500
- Lead Investigator
- Track record of leading large teams and driving EHS excellence including some international requirements preferably within the Energy Sector
- Experience working within Leadership teams within a matrix organisation
- Understanding of product safety and the role of safety by design
- Experience in offshore working within the CDM regulations within the UK
- Experience or working within JV's / Consortia arrangements.
- Minimum 15 years Professional EHS experience in a construction environment including large complex projects and offshore working.
- Experience in preparation of management systems including managing change.
- Significant experience as an Auditor including managing external audits.
- Extensive experience from investigating incidents.
- Working with Senior stakeholders both internally and externally leading to change and improved performance
- Developing KPI's and other performance metrics to demonstrate both leading and lagging performance.
- A track record of selfmotivation and driving change in an everchanging world with increased utilisation of technology are key to success.
- Driving license required with no driving restrictions.
