Requirements:
- Possess a relevant HR degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a HR function is essential
- Previous experience of working within local government or the public sector
- Experience working with computerised and manual Human Resources information and administrative systems
- Effective communicator
- Strong organisational & time management skills
- Proficient user of MS Office and Windows Applications
- Experience of advising employees and managers on HR practices and procedures
- Strong data entry skills
- Word processing experience
- Team player with flexibility to support and encourage coworkers
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Note or Minute taking experience
- For some roles enhanced vetting will be applicable
Responsibilities:
- To maintain and update Human Resources Information Systems
- Provide accurate and timely data in relation to workforce planning to support performance and attendance management
- Provide comprehensive guidance, advice and support to managers and staff on employment legislation, best practice, terms and conditions of service
- Volume Data entry & schedule management
- Monitor Human Resource statistical trends and working with managers to develop a proactive approach
- Assist with the timely bench marking, development and review of policies and procedures
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer service
- Maintenance and security of all filing systems and correspondence both computerised and manual, in line with Data Protection Regulations
- Minute taking as required
- Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets and documents
- General office duties include photocopying, scanning, and filing.
