Head of HR - HR - Hackney Council - Hybrid Working (E8 1DY)

We are looking for a
Head of HR you will be based
:Hybrid working 2 days pw in the officer (E8 1DY)

The primary purpose of the role is to:

Leading the whole of HR
Reporting to director
Lead and manage the Human Resource function including Payroll and HR Systems with responsibility for setting the strategic direction, planning and coordination of work, with 10 direct reports, to help achieve the Council's priorities and improve HR & Payroll practice across the Council
Lead & manage 8 reportees
Ensure that human resources strategies and policies and procedures are in place to support a flexible, skilled and cost effective Council workforce
To be responsible for the management of employee relations across the Council including ensuring an effective trade union consultative framework is in place across the Council.
To provide sound, creative and effective HR professional advice and guidance to elected members, the Chief Executive, Directors and senior management
To deputise for the Group Director, Finance and Corporate Resources, on HR related matters as required.

Requirements:

Experience of working within a local authority

Experience of working as a Head of HR
