As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide valuable support to students in the classroom.

Your main responsibility will be to assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

You will play a crucial role in supporting students with their academic, social, and emotional development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons and activities.
  • Provide oneonone and small group support to students, ensuring their understanding of lesson content.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Support students with their social and emotional wellbeing, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Help to manage behaviour and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and identify areas for additional support or intervention.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary:
£70.00-£90.00 per day

  • Cardiff, CF10: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:


  • Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
