We operate in the NE61 area of Northumberland and are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis.

Role Overview:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant working on supply in our SEN school, you will play a crucial role in supporting learners with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and other complex learning difficulties.

This challenging yet rewarding position requires dedication, empathy, and a proactive approach to engaging with students.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students.
Proactively engage with learners, promoting participation and enthusiasm for learning.
Be prepared for challenges and approach them with resilience and patience.
Provide support with some aspects of personal care when necessary.

Requirements:

Comfort and experience working with students with SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and other complex learning difficulties.
Proven ability to be proactive and engage effectively with learners.
Willingness to undertake challenging yet rewarding tasks.
Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the students and the school.
Ideally, hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Supported Teaching and Learning.
Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
