Description

Responsibilities:

Assist surgical team during procedures by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
Maintain aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures to prevent infections
Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
Set up operating room with necessary supplies and equipment prior to surgery
Assist with patient positioning and draping
Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members during procedures
Monitor patients during surgery and provide appropriate care as needed
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment
Adhere to infection prevention control protocols to minimize the risk of healthcareassociated infections

Skills:

Proficient in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures
Experience working with pediatric patients in a surgical setting
Strong patient care skills, including the ability to provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
Knowledge of critical care practices and procedures in the operating room and ICU settings
Understanding of infection prevention control measures to minimize the risk of healthcareassociated infections
Ability to analyze complex situations and make quick decisions in highpressure environments
Basic life support certification or willingness to obtain certification
Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
