Events Coordinator - (Inside IR35)**
Contract Term: 3 Months possible extension

As a Events Coordinatoryour main responsibilities will be**- Develop event planner to map out team activities; identify requirements; plan and secure resources and logistics to ensure successful delivery of events
- Collaborate with team colleagues to prepare and deliver event briefs for internal and external stakeholders, to ensure contributors are clear on their role and confident event format. Take the lead on planning and creating content for events, working with colleagues and speakers to review and agree in good time before events
- Work with communications team, as central point of contact for event planning, to ensure content is appropriate and in line with GPA/Cabinet Office communications strategies
- Provide support during events for contributors, including technical support and resolving queries
- Collate and analyse event feedback to measure impact. Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement based on audience engagement
- Develop a forward look of opportunities through research of industry events; creating event proposals highlighting benefits, logistics and rationale for involvement; reaching out and securing our involvement in these events once resources to complete are confirmed
- General planning: researching events landscape, identifying suitable event opportunities, reaching out to event organisers to understand potential for GPA involvement
- Before events: taking the lead on planning logistics and preparing event briefs for contributors
- During events: acting as a central point of contact and supporting contributors
- After events: collating and analysing feedback; and horizon scanning to identify and secure future event opportunities.
Essential Skills
- Experience of event planning including in person and virtual event briefs, logistics, drafting and collating content, support for speakers, audience engagement
- Strong engagement and communication skills, with ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of organisations
- Organisation skills identifying and organising resources required, planning activities and delivering to tight timescales
- Microsoft office suite, Power point, Microsoft teams
