Your role and responsibilities
This role is part of the Rough Sleeper Project, funded by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

We are looking for a
Support Coordinator to offer personalised support to people struggling to access or maintain their accommodation and who are under immediate threat of rough sleeping.

You will meet in locations that feel safe to the individual and promote engagement with other professionals and support agencies.

You will need to maintain timely, accurate and up-to-date records.

You will have experience of working with people who are homeless or rough sleepers or those who have complex needs such as alcohol or substance use, mental health issues, a history of trauma and/or offending/antisocial behaviour.

Ideally you will be familiar with working with statutory and voluntary agencies and be able to advocate for the service user with landlords.

You will also be able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

About us
ihAg is a busy local charity supporting people who are at risk of, or are experiencing, homelessness.

The Advice Team provide a daily point of human contact, and support people with the huge range of practical and emotional issues they can face if they are currently homeless, or at risk of losing their home.

The Chapman Centre is a homelessness hub for social interaction, practical support and advice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our hardworking and dedicated Advice Team.
