Description

You will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating and developing work-based teaching and assessment programmes for the Neurology and Ageing and Complex Health components of the Year 4 Specialty Rotation B module with regards to the Manchester MBChB programme, working with the phase 2 LTHTR undergraduate medical education team and clinical placement facilitators in this respect.

You will participate in the supervision, teaching and support of medical students during the module.

You will assess the quality of clinical practice environments and placements, identifying areas of best practice, as well as areas that may require assistance to meet this standard and report findings to the phase 2 manager.


You will need to plan, implement, evaluate and develop work-based teaching and assessment programmes for the Neurology, and Ageing and Complex Health components of the Year 4 Speciality B module with regards to the Manchester MBChB programme.


You will contribute to the training and assessment of Nursing, Allied Healthcare professionals and Postgraduate medical staff when required to do so.

Work closely with the CPSs for neurology, and ageing and complex health

Participate in the supervision, teaching and support of medical students during the Specialist Rotation B module

Assess the quality of clinical practice environments and placements, identifying areas of best practice, as well as areas that may require quality improvement programmes

Demonstrate a minimum teaching / supervising contact time with students of 70% per week
