Description
Responsibilities
- Payroll processing of monthly payroll for salaried employees, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time
- Responsible for maintaining employee time and attendance records
- Completion of P45 for leavers, end of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries (P60's/P11D's)
- Submission of monthly pension contributions
- Conducting regular checks to ensure any changes are monitored & controlled, and employees are accurately paid and in line with government regulations
- Maintaining up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures
- Working closely with our payroll software provider regarding system upgrades and developments
- Ensuring payroll policies are up to date to reflect changes to Company policy and Employment Law Regulations
Skills and Experience Required
- Up to date knowledge of current regulations affecting employee benefits, deductions and general payroll processes
- A proactive approach with experience of identifying & implementing process improvements
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines
- Flexibility to work the necessary hours to meet the cyclical demands of the position
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
