The Opportunity:
- The SMO Service Support Officer role supports cross functional support to ensure delivery of the IMOS Contract across a number of disciplines, including Material Service and Technical Services, Training Systems and associated functions, ensuring KPI's are met and company profits are maintained.
- This role is pivotal to supporting the Service Management Organisation team in the delivery of the contract through planning and supporting tasks across all elements of the Contract and supporting both the Service Delivery Manager and overall functions in support of the IMOS PP4 Contract requirements
What you will do:
- IMOS Service Support Officer, part of the Service Management Organisation (SMO) you are required to support the IMOS Service Delivery Manager (SDM) in the successful delivery of IMOS contractual requirements.
The key elements of support are investigating and processing all Special Category Work (SCW) claims, liaising through Material Services and MOD teams to provide clear data and information against each claim.
Co-ordinating overarching IMOS battle rhythm plan to ensure all critical elements are reported and tracked through planning and monthly A3 reporting as requested by the SDM to support monthly Business and MD reporting.
- Development and coordinating Out of Scope tasking to ensure all aspects are managed through the process and all functions are engaged throughout the process. Monitoring and reporting on risk matrix against IMOS Contract.
The role will be interfacing across all elements of LMWL functions and directly liaising with MoD functions both on and off-site.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified to Degree or equivalent level in both business management and a relevant technical discipline or a significant knowledge of aerospace, defence and related business areas, gained through at least 10 years direct experience.
- Highly selfmotivated individual.
- The ability to provide advice, guidance and support to team members to achieve departmental objectives for both Performance and Risk Management.
- The ability to collect, collate, analyse and present complex information clearly and concisely in writing or verbally to audiences comprising of multidisciplinary groups.
- Team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, Prime Contractor, Subcontractors and Key Stakeholders within the MOD Customer community at all levels.
- To represent LMWL in a positive manner and have the ability to interact with the MOD Customer and key stakeholder community on a daily basis.
- Knowledge of the Integrated Operational Support construct and associated support disciplines.
- Detailed knowledge of military aircraft operations, manufacturing and support processes
- Experience of dealing with the relevant DT organisations of the DE&S.
- A good understanding of support and programme management.
- Business acumen and commercial awareness to identify and develop profitable new business opportunities.
- Excellent IT systems skills including MS Office.
