Job Description - Purchase Ledger & Treasury Clerk
Job title:
Purchase Ledger & Treasury Clerk
Reporting to:
Purchase Ledger & Treasury Manager
Job role:
Supports the business by taking responsibility of the Purchase Ledger of multiple clients
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Treasury and Client Management
- Payment runs
- Close liaison with Offshoring Partners
- Ensure Offshore Partners are completing their tasks in an adequate manner and escalate to PL Manger if not
- Monitoring Dext Precision to ensure that tasks are completed in an adequate time frame
- Aid with upkeep and utilise Approval Max for relevant clients
- Ensuring Statement reconciliations for main suppliers are done monthly & quarterly (communicating with accountant when not possible due to Cost of Sales impact)
- Aged Creditors are reconciled before payment runs
- Ensure that all payments from bank dashboard in Xero are posted before payment runs are prepared
- Ensuring payments are made correctly, promptly and according to procedure
- Ensuring payments are made for your clients for PAYE, Class 1A, Rent maintaining a basic cashflow for each client
- Ensuring bank details are independently verified
- Ensuring bank dongles are sufficiently covered when on leave
- Signing off other PL Clerks payment forms
- Mentoring and training of Offshore Partners and referring to PL Manager if there is a problem
- Managing Purchase Ledger main line with the team
- Escalating problems upwards; resulting in poor service that you cannot resolve (refer to PL Manager)
- Ensuring that each client is receiving the best standard of service possible
- Supporting your colleagues and teamwork

Experience:
- purchase ledger: 1 year (preferred)
- Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)
