Clarkes Transport, a family run business and one of the leading privately owned multi-service transport organisations in the UK is looking for a
Part Time HR Advisor for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract to work out of our head office in Oldbury, West Midlands.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a temporary basis, while we focus on implementing a new HR Management Information System.
Internally delivering high quality, dependable, HR services throughout our business while being a first point of contact to provide advice and support our managers on all elements of HR.
Commercially minded, confident in delivering advice in difficult situations and able to work independently to set up and manage effective systems to ensure the HR department delivers an efficient service and provides reliable expert advice when it is needed.
Some of the tasks the HR Advisor will be involved in include designing and administering HR policies and procedures, preparing and presenting KPI reports, supporting and assisting throughout the recruitment process and on occasion, conducting investigations.
Ideally you will have a CIPD qualification or be studying towards one, a minimum of 5 years' experience in HR with a significant amount of that in an advisory role and the ability to work on your own initiative within a fast-paced working environment.
And what will you get in return?
Approx hours per week - typically 9.30am to 3.30pm
Flexibility of home/office working
Salary between £30,000-£35,000 pro rata

Qualifications and Training
Essential
- Maths and English GCSE
Desirable
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or working towards
Experience
Essential
- Experienced HR advisor and administrator
- Expert user of Microsoft Office, specifically needing Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven experience of interpreting policy and working with business areas to ensure effective ER case resolution
- Experience of managing ER issues and advising, coaching and influencing managers up to and including senior managers
- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues
