Description
Scot Industrial Air are looking for an experienced Pipefitter to join our team in Glasgow.

As a Pipefitter with SIA, you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to repair, maintain and install compressed air distribution pipework and plant rooms.

Key duties and responsibilities:


  • Repairing, maintaining, and installing compressed air distribution pipework and plant rooms
  • Basic servicing of compressors and generators (training provided)
  • Working from / reading technical drawings
  • Accurately completing all relevant paperwork on a handheld device
  • Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
  • Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
  • Delivering machines to customers
  • Delivering parts to sites
  • Working closely with the service supervisor
  • Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
  • This role will include travel and overnight stays so a full UK driving licence is required
  • Experience in pipefitting (essential)
  • Experience using flanged, screwed, press fit and compression fitted systems
  • Experience in designing and installing Unistrut bracketry
  • Experience working on pressure systems
  • Be comfortable working at height
  • Relevant experience and qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ qualifications
  • CSCS, PASMA & IPAF certification preferred but not essential (training provided)
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing site conditions while interacting with multiple contractors on site
  • Ability to show initiative and recommend design changes when required
  • Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers
  • Good IT skills
  • A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
