If you're looking to be part of the drive towards net zero, then this could be the role for you

This role is ideally suited to someone with a passion for sustainability and environmental management, who is looking for a role they can develop in, whilst working for a company at the heart of the energy transition.

  • Support the Energy and Decarbonisation Manager with the delivery of the UKLP carbon strategy and energy compliance reporting obligations (e.g. ESOS, SECR).
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across the business (e.g. Responsible Business team, ET Regulation Team, Corporate Affairs) to ensure that the UKLP Sustainability Strategy is aligned with wider business reporting and strategy.
  • Responsible for the collection, analysis and validation of Corporate Property utility and waste data; optimise existing processes and systems for reporting and provide supporting commentary.

About you:

  • Developing knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues, in particular carbon, waste and water.
  • Ability to articulate the impact of sustainability on the business and vice versa.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and networking skills, adept at building positive, influential and strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external parties.
  • Stakeholder management skills, required to develop and foster strong relationships across the UKLP team and wider organisation, which are key in helping UKLP achieve its sustainability objectives.
  • Analytical skills, including familiarity of working with software packages to interpolate and critically review data from a variety of sources.
  • Working towards (or willingness to work towards this, with our support) an appropriate professional body (IEMA, Institute of energy, CIBSE).

What you'll get:

A competitive salary circa £33,000 - dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.

You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
