Description

Prioritise and organise own day-to-day work schedule, completing work within agreed timescales

Prepare and produce high quality correspondence, minutes, agendas, papers and reports using Microsoft Word and Excel
Exercise discretion and maintain a high standardof confidentiality,communication and interpersonal skills including telephone enquiries
Take telephone messages and disseminate to appropriate staff as required
Monitor appraisal compliance levels in the nursing team, book appraisals for the team, and update ESR to reflect.
Assist clinical educators to ensure competency packages are up to date.
Provide administration support in relation to patient group directives.
Provide secretarial support to the Matron and Senior Sisters
Organise and hold the Matrons diary
Record sickness and absence for nursing staff
Maintain and update databases in relation to nursing i.e. revalidation, training etc.
Update changes on E roster and other electronic databases to maintain a live system
Provide regular reports on daily nurse staffing situation as required
Work with Nurse in Charge to submit daily situation report
Attend meetings when required to take minutes and provide organisational support
