Tackling eating disorders as early as possible is critical to stop them becoming entrenched. The longer they go on, the more serious the impact on health, wellbeing, and recovery.
We are now expanding our services into Oxfordshire and are looking for an exceptional Area Lead to coordinate, lead and support our clinical services in this area.
Working alongside Primary Care Team hubs across Oxfordshire, you will be supporting a team of Therapeutic Support Workers to deliver services to people affected by an eating disorder or disordered eating.
We will be working alongside the NHS Adult Eating Disorder team and other local agencies including mental health charities, colleges, and GPs.
This will include both direct work (one-to-one support) and the delivery of training to young people and professionals on issues relating to eating disorders.
SERVICE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT- Coordinate, manage and lead a safe, professional and accessible support service
- Support the Clinical Lead with clinical decisions including risk assessments and organising next steps, if required
- Liaise with the Chief Operating Officer and Clinical Lead to develop and review appropriate policies and procedures including referrals, cancellations, assessments, and financial and administrative procedures
- Assist with recruitment and training of Therapeutic Support Workers in conjunction with the Chief Operating Officer and Clinical Lead
- Oversee the referral process and respond to enquiries or direct to the appropriate person
- Carry out occasional complex specialist Support and Guidance sessions, when required
- Carry out client reviews alongside Therapeutic Support Workers to ensure the service is still appropriate for the client
- Attend/run weekly clinical meetings to manage caseloads
- Develop and expand the existing service provision to include a small counselling team
- Carry out training and develop new training when required
- Develop and present workshops on eating disorders and for service delivery
- Arrange appropriate external supervision for self (paid for by SWEDA)
- Ensure any client complaints are investigated and dealt with, in line with our complaints policy, in conjunction with the Clinical Lead and Chief Operating Officer
- Support Staff and Volunteers as required, in line with SWEDA's culture
- Identify and develop new service opportunities, working in conjunction with other members of the SWEDA team
- Ensure that SWEDA's services are delivered in accordance with relevant professional standards and ethical guidelines
- Ensure the Oxfordshire clinical team provides a holistic and personalised approach to meeting the needs of clients
- Ensure that the client's needs are considered in all aspects of SWEDA's functioning
- Set up and maintain appropriate record keeping systems in line with data protection requirements
- Ensure service outcomes and outputs are effectively monitored and evaluated and prepare monthly service statistics, working with the Chief Operating Officer and Clinical
- Lead Ensure budgets are adhered to and financial systems maintained
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the aims and objectives of SWEDA
- Comply with the culture and policies governing the organisation
- Deliver services against agreed objectives, project indicators, plans and deadlines
Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Salary:
£18,677.00-£19,600.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
