Ultra Sonar Systems is a-UK based solutions provider and systems integrator operating in the Defence market, delivering world leading products, solutions and services to our national and international customers.


We operate in the Underwater domain which includes the advanced naval Integrated Sonar System (ISS), Hull Mounted Sonar system, towed array sonar systems, surface ship and submarine torpedo defence and countermeasures, and distributed anti-submarine warfaresystems (Sonobuoys), including Multi-Static Active (MSA) technologies.


Overview:


We are currently seeking to recruit audacious and highly capable people to work on cutting edge technologies and inspire our up-and-coming team members to deliver best in class results.


You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Essentials Level 3 Apprenticeship.


Purpose of Role:


As a Business Development Apprentice, you will be providing support to the Business Development team whilst working towards a recognised CPD qualifications in Excel and ISP qualification in Sales.


The role will provide exposure to all aspects of identifying and qualifying emerging opportunities, Stakeholder engagement, maintaining the CRM system, conducting market analysis, establishing and executing capture plans, and generating proposals and marketingcollateral.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the generation of pursuit packs for the various internal approval reviews
  • Monitor the CRM system to ensure it is maintained for accuracy and relevancy
  • Review trade publications and online media to collate and share customer and competitor intelligence
  • Assist in the discovery of leads, through research
  • Represent the business at trade fairs and exhibitions
  • Coordinate and attend both internal and external meetings with Stakeholders
  • Support the generation of highquality proposals, literature, and presentations
  • Maintain and assisting in the preparation of marketing materials and social media presence
  • Maintain and report upon internal metrics and KPI measures
  • Assist colleagues by undertaking reasonable requests and tasks from timetotime as necessary

What we are looking for:


Skills and Experience:


  • Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential (e.g. British national or dualnational)
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence

Entry requirements:

The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

Future prospects:

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship. Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer on-going development tracks.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.


To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
