About Our Client:

A great opportunity for a
Category Assistant to join a market leading têxtile business in the Greater Manchester office. They design and produce têxtiles for the Bedroom, living room etc. They have a great reputation in the industry with several long service employees.

Chasing, recording costings for new product development

Updating and maintaining new product development documents, working with PD team

Involved in prep/ in development meetings

Creating initial PowerPoints to send out to internally/ customers

Checking style codes set up by admin

Upload base price lists to JDE once pricing has been signed off for the season

Creating and maintaining seasonal critical paths - liaising with stock control and technical dept.

Set up product workbooks and work with technical contact to maintain all information

Creating and sending out PCL to factories

Creating and sending out internally packaging forms and photography forms

Chasing through strike offs for all new designs

Chasing through photography samples for all new designs

Uploading photography to FTP for factories to produce packaging

Approving soft copy packaging via graphics or factory

Approving hard copies sent through via factory

Assisting the technical team with gold seal approval before shipment

Chasing through gold seals and test reports for each design

Reviewing and approving e-brochures - for accurate content details

Ensuring all samples are available for Stylists (photography and showrooms)

Creating and maintaining instore sheets
- sales tool

Range Doc/Live Lives - adding new lines and maintenance on current lines, amendments, archiving.

Sorting DISC lines
- adding to disc sheet and removing from range doc/in store sheet to archive

Updating and maintaining BARS - Bianca Archive Retrieval System

Updating and maintaining Product sizes and weights in excel

Maintaining gold seal storage & sample racking

Comp shop online for price positioning

Assist and support in the business when and where needed

General admin as and when required


The Successful Applicant:

Proficient in Microsoft packages - Excel and Power Point

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage changing priorities

Excellent communication skills

Proactive approach/attitude
