I have an amazing opportunity for a Cloud Engineer to join a data focused Engineering company. The role will be offered on a hybrid working basis, with their office in KensingtonCloud Engineer opportunity - Kensington Office - up to £80,000 + Annual Bonus - Remote 3-4 days a week
As a
Cloud Engineer you will use your expertise and skills to help the team build and deliver the businesses next generation products and services.
Tech challenges you will solve
You will work with cutting edge technologies utilising Cloud services across multiple providers such as AWS and Azure.
You will be exposed to back-end and DevOps work with Python initially but also be able to learn and adapt quickly to other languages.
Thecompany are developing platforms that require a polyglot approach and expect everyone that joins our team to be able to pick up new languages quickly.
We are using several AWS services and Serverless tech, working extensively with Elasticsearch and AWS DocumentDB.We are developing our next generation products following a Microservices architecture and event-driven models dealing with a lot of data.
Your role will involve understanding all these separate services, take part in their development and ensure that they run efficiently and effectively on the target environments, while utilising the underlying hardware to its full extent.
You will have towork with us on scaling up a lot of these systems to millions of requests per second, ensure that they live in a highly secure environment and be able to deploy them on demand rapidly.
Skills and Experience - Must Haves
- 5+ years' experience developing software in Python and an objectoriented language such as C# or Java
- Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle
- Some experience with RESTful API development
- Experience with an RDBMS database and/or NoSQL database such as MongoDB
Skills and Experience - Nice to Haves
- Experience with Cloud development on AWS
- Experience with Serverless development such as AWS Lambdas or Azure Functions
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis
- Experience with CI/CD such as Gitlab or Jenkins
- Any experience of MarTech or AdTech would be a plus
