- Read through his / her Application form, check everything is OK.
- Check his / her ID to make sure he/she has the right to work in UK and return ID back to them.
- Working hours: Monday
- Friday, 8am 5.30pm.
- Saturday will be in rotation but the same hours (8am 5.30pm), which works out to be once per month.
- 30 minutes lunch time, but lunch is not paid for. So, you only receive 9 hours of paid work.
- Wages will be paid every 2 weeks, directly into your bank account.
Daily task
- Maintain and verifying all production records.
- Helps to complete production records.
- Assist quality assurance manager in day to day work.
- Preparing samples.
- Calibration of equipment.
- Photocopying, scanning and filing documents
- Photocopy all documents from blue folder
- File documents to the correct colour coded files.
- Checking laundry
- Every Wednesday/ Thursday, laundered uniforms are received. Count the quantity of uniform received and stored away into locker.
- Check all uniforms are taken on every Tuesday. Any extras must be removed from changing room.
- Distribute uniform on every Wednesday / Saturday.
- Changing room visual checks for cleanliness and remove any excess items.
- Agency staff.
- Prepare timesheets.
- Update employee checklist record.
- Print out weekly employee checklist.
- Stock check on shoes /boots.
- Interview prospective new staff.
- An information pack will be provided regarding the working conditions within Kim's Food.
- Aiding new staff to complete their training programme.
- Aid the new staff to complete pack 1 for accounting purposes.
- Assemble pack 2 for all the relevant training records.
- Assemble pack 3 for health and safety training.
- Helping in general office admin work.
- Answering phone calls
- Booking delivery through Langdon's website.
- Booking delivery slot to customer
- Checking goods before dispatching.
- Receiving and checking goods from suppliers
- Printing labels
Paid holiday
- Paid holidays are 28 days including bank holidays. Starting from 1 January 31 December.
- If we ask you to work on bank holiday, it's normal pay but you can take 1 day as holiday to use somewhere else.
- The only exception is the Easter weekend. Friday is a bank holiday but Saturday is not, so we switch the two around.
If the applicant answer "yes", then work out a starting time with them.
Remind them:
- For the first day, come at 9am, if all goes well, come at 8am for the second day.
- Bring his / her ID again, we need to make photocopies and retain a copy.
- For lunch, please bring your own food, there is a canteen upstairs on 3rd floor and a microwave where you can heat up food.
- For girls, no makeup or nail varnish.
- No jewellery, only plain wedding ring or plain band is permitted.
