I am working with world leading hedge funds and systematic investment managers with $15 billion AUM, who require the very best Data professionals on the market.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Market Data Analyst to grow out their newly developeddata function.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of market data used by the company.

The team provides assistance in choosing the correct product, on-boarding it to the business in a timely fashion, ensuring compliance and reporting are maintainedas well as supporting the business with raising data queries to providers.


Responsibilities

  • Making sure the Inventory database information is accurately maintained i.e. updating usernames, price records and departments
  • Keeping track of the Market Data Team inbox while staying on top of incoming JIRA tickets, assigning tasks to the correct team member and monitoring progress
  • Review exchange websites and notifications for any changes or updates for example: Price and product notifications while reviewing action needed and updating systems where necessary.
  • Participate in project work as required while supporting the Market Data team in BAU.
  • Solve daily queries for the company and interact with key external suppliers to request information
  • Organising and Maintaining an accurate database of historical and current contracts, ensuring clear links to user branding limits, pricing records, etc.
  • Provide assistance with audit preparations when needed
  • Following the procurement cycle ensuring timely/accurate processing and reconciliation of market data invoices

Your skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant industry experience
  • 13 years experience working with market data, either at analyst level or equivalent
  • Exchanges experience such as Refinitiv, LSE, FactSet, NYSE, Bloomberg, Nasdaq, etc.
  • Experience of working with permission systems i.e. EMRS and DACS
  • Knowledge or market data, reference data and index data with a specific focus on nondisplay usage
  • Experience with analysing and interpreting large data sets, predominately in excel and to present the data in a meaningful manner
  • Comfortable keeping records in online systems while being very detailed oriented
- knowledge in the investing sector or financial services
- ability to communicate essential information quickly and effectively at the "headline" and detailed level

  • Track record of project management and organisational skills in a fastpaced business environment while having the ability to manage various tasks and priorities
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and comprehension of access controls and provisioning is desirable but not essential
