About the role;
This opportunity is fantastic for those looking to pursue and kickstart their career within education. Why not start by helping children that cannot cope within a mainstream environment.

You will work mainly on a 1:1 basis out in the community and at local schools and colleges and vocational sites.

You will also work within groups and aide a teacher or specialist tutor.

Within this role you will build strong working relationships with the children in your care and work hard to adapt to their needs.

You will get to know between 8-10 pupils that you will work with across your Rota.

This role is very varied and is great for people who enjoy a job that no two days are the same.

You also will have a set Rota so you know were you will be working week in and week out.


Whether you have experience within care, schools, residential backgrounds, coaching, sports work, or community work, we would love to hear from you You don't need a formal teaching assistant qualification, just transferrable skills, and a desire to make a difference to the lives of young children/adults.


Do you need qualifications?

  • Put simply no, we are looking for people with the right character and transferable skills. If training is needed you can complete a teaching assistant course after 6 months in the role and once you have completed it you will get a £1600 pay rise.

Working patterns available;

  • Monday to Friday
  • Full time.

Hours of work;

  • 09:00 15:00 (Full time).

Rates of pay;
- £ weeks off a yeear)


Age range;

  • KS3,KS3 and post 16

Qualifications;

  • Non required
  • Transferrable skills needed.

Your duties will include;

  • Setting up equipment for lessons.
  • Maintaining and keeping the classroom safe and tidy.
  • Motivating and encouraging pupils.
  • Monitoring children's behaviour and progress.
  • Keeping pupils engaged with their learning, following the national curriculum.
  • Encouraging pupils to interact and engage within activities. Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs and personalities.
  • Help plan activities
  • Working in a 1:1 basis at different locations
  • Transport a child between sites from time to time
You will need to have;

  • Transferrable skills from your personal or working life.
  • The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships and understand the individual needs of the children in your care.
  • The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance, and support.
  • A personable, calm, and caring demeanour.
