What you'll be doing:


  • Develop and deliver a Site Services Strategy to support the RBC (Rochester Business Centre) business objectives
  • Integrate SHE, Facilities and Security into a coherent group delivering core site services
  • Support the delivery of RBC annual/strategic objectives.
  • Provision of timely and consistent essential site services
  • Evolving and maturing a proactive Safety culture/environment
  • Plan and execute site services projects to schedule, cost and quality
  • Represent Site Services at the monthly Site Governance Executive (SGE) meetings
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure company compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures
  • Manage the Site Services supply chain, ensuring overall best value and positive working relationships
  • Develop and review processes in support of site activities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of problems, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Make tactical decisions regarding site services, raising strategic decisions to the Site Executive

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Proven ability to think strategically and holistically with reference to site services and business objectives
  • Knowledge of energy, utilities and carbon emissions reduction principles
  • Experience of working in a cross functional, matrix organisation within a manufacturing environment
  • Sound experience of people and budget management, performance management and career development being a key requisite
  • Knowledge of legislation across key areas of Site Services
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent trusting business relationships across all levels within and outside the business

Desirable:


  • Good understanding of business continuity principles
  • Good understanding of the different aspects of Site Services and the impact on the operation of the business and recognise the complexity and overlap between the areas of SHE, Facilities and Security
  • Maintaining a MoD List X facility and providing advice to the business on Security issues
  • Membership of the Institute for Workplace and Facilities Management or a Facilities management qualification preferred

The Site Services team:


As the Head of Site Services, the primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and secure operation of the Rochester Business Centre (RBC) 32 Acre site.

This entails overseeing the provision of services from the Facilities, Security, and Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) departments.

Reporting directly to the Site Executive, the Head of Site Services is tasked with developing and implementing a comprehensive site services strategy tailored to the requirements of the businesses and functions housed at the Rochester Site.

Additionally, this role involves managing both personnel and supply chain aspects to ensure the effective delivery of site services.
