Facilities Management Supervisor

Location - West of Scotland

Salary - £30,500 to £36,000

As Facilities Management Supervisor working for our Scottish Fire & Rescue Services contract for sites throughout the West of Scotland,you'll manage a [e.g. multiskilled] team and coordinate planned, preventative and reactive maintenance in line with customer budgets.

Your new role:

What you'll do:


  • Brief Contract Manager and Management Team on a regular basis on all matters relating to site maintenance, PPM and minor works.
  • Daily monitoring of the repair and maintenance budget including signing customer job satisfaction notes and ensuring that changes made are in accordance with the agreed rates.
  • Responsible for sorting all repairs and maintenance needs to the Contract Manager and then arranging for quotes/estimates and repairs for any tasks which are outside the post holder professional competence.
  • Ensure that contractors on site do not cause a health and safety hazard or damage to school property and report matters of concern or noncompliance with contact specification to the Contract Manager.
  • Promote and implement the Company's policies in all aspects of employment and service delivery.

What you'll need:


  • Any Trade Discipline
  • Knowledge of FM Systems including CAFM and BMS
  • Previous supervisory experience within Operations and Maintenance of Facilities/ Utilities Equipment and Building Fabric
  • Positive and flexible approach towards work
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver continuous improvement
  • Proactive approach
  • Develop team commitment and cooperation
  • Ensure all necessary legislation is being complied with
  • IT literate with working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to learn and use new software systems
