The Opportunity
Assistant Underwriter
Full Time / Permanent positions - 35 hours per week
Up to £25,000 dependant on experience.
Monday - Friday; 9-5pm.

The role will be a hybrid working arrangement split between our Manchester office and home.

The role will include initial training and support during which we will need you to be on site full time to ensure you are happy, confident, and performing in the role (minimum of 6 months).

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Underwriter to join our established and experience team here at RSA on a hybrid basis.


Your Role


As an assistant underwriter, you will maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer contact and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service appropriate to the needs of the broker or insurer.

In addition, you will be dealing with queries from customers and engaging with relevant stakeholders and departments.

Identifying non-standard, large, and/or complex cases and escalating them to more qualified colleagues and supporting them to ensure they are handled appropriately and exceed customer expectations, whilst identifying and pursuing up-selling and cross-selling opportunities at the same time as ensuring the delivery of brilliant service.


About You
You will have previous experience in an insurance or financial industry and have excellent communication skills.

You will be motivated with a hardworking, "can-do" attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
