Dental Hygienist - Bridgnorth, United Kingdom - High Town Dental Practice

Description

The position is completely confidential, for one day weekly, starting on alternate Thursdays, with the possibility of adding Fridays as the number of patients grows.

Appointments are scheduled between 9am and 5pm (including a one-hour lunch break).


Roles and Responsibilities:

- provide dental hygiene care to a diverse range of patients
- gather a comprehensive dental history from patients and assess their medical background
- conduct a clinical examination within their scope of practice
- perform periodontal examination and charting, and utilize indices to screen and track periodontal disease
- diagnose and create treatment plans within their scope of practice
- organize patient care delivery
- offer suitable advice to patients
- deliver preventive oral care to patients and coordinate with dentists regarding the treatment of cavities, periodontal disease, and tooth erosion
- perform supragingival and subgingival scaling, as well as root surface debridement utilizing manual and powered tools
- provide guidance to patients on smoking cessation
- administer infiltration and inferior dental block anesthesia
- manage implants and address peri-implant tissues
- conduct oral cancer screenings
- when needed, refer patients to other healthcare professionals
- maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date patient records

• No work on weekends

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

• Bridgnorth: able to reliably commute or willing to relocate before commencing work (mandatory)

Experience:

Dental Hygienist: 2 years (preferred)


License/Certification:

• GDC Registration (mandatory)
