Auction Yard Operative (Porter) - Immediate start available

Salary:
£19,200 - £23,700 dependent on skills & experience

Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 38.5 hours a week, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm, Friday 8.30am to 5pm

Duties to include, but not limited to:

Displaying & handling of stock
Ensuring safe coordination and control of all loading and unloading activities
Offloading and loading vehicles using mechanical handling equipment / Forklift truck
Accurately picking and packing items
Complying with all employment policies, including Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy
Preventing stock loss
Ensuring all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment polices are observed at all times
Undertaking other duties assigned by the Salesroom Manager/Supervisor

About You:

Adaptable to a fastpaced environment, maintaining accuracy while under pressure
Able to work with enthusiasm and pace
Confident to connect with customers and provide excellent customer service
Recognise that attention to detail is critical
Able to learn and share expertise of products
Show a passion for driving sales
Strong written and verbal communicator with both colleagues and customers

Qualifications:

No specific qualifications are required, except a full clean UK Driving Licence.

Counterbalance Forklift Licence and/or Telescopic Forklift Licence would be preferable but not essential.

Physical requirements:

The duties are physically demanding requiring a reasonably high level of physical fitness.
