Alfa Staff - Lathe Operator - Newport

We are looking for a permanent Lathe Operator to join an established engineering company in Newport.

As a Lathe Operator, your responsibilities will vary from setting and operating

39 hours per week - Optional overtime Saturday 7am to 10am - £22.50 Per hour.

Main responsibilities:

To be conversant with operating CNC turning centres
The ability to produce precision components from a variety of engineering materials
To produce components within a costeffective timeframe
The ability to read and understand engineering technical drawings
Conversant with all necessary measuring equipment
Ability to work to close tolerances, bearing tolerance limits
Able to work under own initiative and capable of working with limited supervision

Self-inspection

Have the ability to communicate with people at all levels and work proactively as part of a team
Take part in any training provided

The hours for this position are 7am to 3pm, Monday - Thursday and 7am to 2pm on Friday. All work will require you to be performed in the workshop.

Salary:
£15.00-£22.50 per hour
