Contract position:
Inside IR35 Via Umbrella Company PAYE (No CIS/LTD)

My client is looking for a Technical Author to join their team on a major project based in the Southeast London area.

The ideal Technical Author will be confident in writing both O&M and H&S files.

Technical Author Responsibilities:

Prepare and produce manuals and other documentation to the required standard and within set timescales and budgets.
Produce clear and concise technical documentation in the form of specifications, test procedures, maintenance, and safety instructions. Seeing all documents through to completion and issue.
Liaise with relevant managers or engineers to gather the information and data required for your technical documents.
Collect, understand and present technical information into easy to understand instructions.
Produce/write both O&M and Health & Safety Files
Quality check documents to project/company standards.

Technical Author Requirements:

Prior experience in writing technical documentation is a must
Previously worked as Technical Author/ Technical Writer
Knowledgeable in Operations and Maintenance Manuals (O&Ms)
Confident in writing both O&M and Health & Safety Files
Major infrastructure project experience (civil project experience would be beneficial)
