  • Responsibility for the presentation, planning and delivery of promotional events and educational partnership activities for potential students, including open days, careers events and enrolment duties, providing information and excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Direct line manage members of the team, including performance management and review, target setting and appraisal reporting.
  • Support in the production and delivery of event materials targeting current and potential students, identifying new relevant groups to target.
  • Deputise for the Marketing and Student Recruitment Manager as and when required at curriculum meetings, management meetings and chairing of team meetings.
  • Manage job requests from internal clients, coordinating and allocating these through marketing project teams.
  • Coordinating tasks and direct mail in each locality to support in the delivery of events and direct response campaigns.
  • Assist the leadership team with wider marketing team duties as well as support for digital platforms improvements including website and integrated systems to optimise events and student recruitment and support in the creation of content for digital platforms, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to deliver to deadlines.
  • Undertake market research projects and regular evaluation of marketing activity, working towards continuous improvement, providing management information leading to best value and effective R.O.I.
  • Build effective client working relationships with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and partners as well as media agencies.
  • Manage own workload on a daytoday basis to ensure deadlines are met and a willingness to assist with wider team workload.

The Successful Applicant:

Substantial experience of working in an events role, demonstrating strong project management skills.


Experience of managing events or marketing logistics and budgets, coordinating external suppliers and conducting expenditure control and business planning/ budget setting.

Experience of copy writing, editing and proofreading and writing copy for web.


Experience of using a CRM or database system, working with prospect and customer data and interpretation of data to support the coordination and promotion of events.

Experience of working with a design team and/or design agency and using an external printing company.


Confident communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels in a friendly and efficient manner.

Proven ability to plan and manage cross-departmental projects, liaising with internal stakeholders and managing relationships.

Good level of computer literacy including MS Office.
