Eden Brown are looking for an outstanding games design tutor to join a Creative School for year olds in East London.

We require a tutor with experience in 2D and 3D game production pipelines, understanding of underlying game design principles and a wider knowledge of the creative media production industries.

Key tasks

  • Plan and deliver exciting lessons supporting learner progression, that relate to their needs and interests
  • Promote safety, wellbeing and safeguarding (CPOMS)
  • Record attendance and academic notes on Arbor MIS
  • Track learner progression on the allocated Google Sheets
  • Develop innovative opportunities for interdepartmental and intradepartmental project collaborations
  • Use a range of assessment methods and provide outstanding and prompt feedback to inspire learners
  • Complete learner onetoone tutorials and individual learning plans on a bitermly basis
  • Facilitate the widerange of enrichment trips and guest speaker events arranged across the year
  • Work towards a stable learner retention and qualification achievement rate
  • Undertake inhouse training to remain uptodate with awarding body expectations
  • Support learners to prepare for their assessed endofyear project
Essential Qualifications

  • Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)

  • Extremely organised and able to manage your own workload effectively and flexibly
  • Highly motivated and driven to succeed
  • Outstanding teaching and communication skills and understanding of Ofsted framework
  • Solutionfocused and able to responding to data trends
  • Assertive and confident in learning environment management
  • Ambitious and committed to meeting targets, setting standards of behaviour and work
  • Empathy towards the many challenges faced by young adults in a demographic with high free school meals rate and poverty levels
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Visual scripting/programming skills
Desired qualities

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop/After Effects/Premiere modelling, concept art/textures
  • Experience of working professionally in a relevant creative industry/as an entrepreneur
  • Experience with Autodesk Maya/Blender animating, skinning, rigging, texturing, 3D modelling
  • Experience with Unity/Unreal Engine animationtoengine pipelines
  • Drawing and art skills
