General Maintenance Person required for care home in Canning Town, E16

  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Completing minor plumbing repairs such as fixing dripping taps or running toilet cisterns
  • Identifying mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Installing household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers
  • Installing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
  • Fitting shelves, hanging pictures and installing window locks
  • Conducting emergency audits
  • Undertaking basic gardening
  • Negotiating the scope of work and timescales with clients
  • Providing itemised quotes and invoices
  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Full-time, salary £13.00 per hour
