We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist setting based in North Tyneside.The school provides an education for students who can't go into a mainstream school, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons and would not otherwise receive suitable education.
The particular groups you are working with will be KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 children that are in transition to this new environments.
You will ideally will have a passion for working with young people aged 4-16 years old.The work can be very highly rewarding; however it can also be challenging too so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school.
Many students have challenging home lives and have complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are autistic and some occasionally present with challenging behaviours.
If you are a recent graduate looking to build upon your experience then this might be one for you as they pay above avarage salaries if you go on to be a permement member of staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
